SEL#95_Tonto - Live #1
Tonto is a one man band, amplified drumset by contact mics and voice; lo-fi furious beats and senseless shouts.
During the concerts, the sound from drums and cymbals is taken by homemade piezo mics, saturated and distorted in a Ableton live set and played freaking loud on the PA and the stage monitors in order to start feedbacks between drums and speakers.
The voice is picked up by a microphone obtained from a headphone placed in a gag.
Live #1 is the third album made after Excerpts #1 and Excerpts#2 (studio albums), a collection of tracks selected from hours of recordings made on tour, more than 30 concerts have been recorded on a zoom H6 during the winter of 2016, selected, mixed and mastered by Tonto in the summer of 2017 to release the best of the best of the acts made all around europe in the previous month.
