It’s been almost a year since we’ve last heard news from HIM (the band members) and as the saying goes -” Out of sight, out of mind” – right?

Wrong! In the case of HIM’s dedicated fans, there is no such thing as out of mind! And for those more forgetful souls, well, Kerrang! Magazine has a treat that will certainly get your mind back on HIM.

According to the finnish online magazine Iltalehti Him are back in action… or as keyboardist Burton tweets, they are “back to the old drawing board”.

In this article, HIM’s manager says that the band is working on new songs and rehearsals will last well into autumn. The new album will probably be released in 2012. Regarding the new record label, Seppo states that they have not yet made a final decision.

The article also mentions that HIM may be seen as early as New Years Eve at Tavastia Club. Seppo says there is still no confirmations regarding the bands appearance at Helldone.

According to the bands official website: “After 6 years and three albums, Finnish rock band HIM and Sire/Warner Music have decided to part ways. Seymour Stein, founder of Sire Records says: “It was a pleasure working with HIM, and we’re very proud to have been their partners for the last six years. Ville is a rare talent, and my relationship with their manager Seppo dates back to the days when he pioneered rock music in Finland looking after the career of Hanoi Rocks. HIM are particularly important because they are the first and only band from Finland to reach Gold status in America. I, along with the entire Sire/Warner Bros. family, wish them continued success in the future.”

Daniel Lioneye released their new album, Vol. II earlier this year. A great album that I do recommend buying. Though listening to Linde’s guitar riffs on your CD player or iPod is awesome, nothing compares to the full sonic experience of listening and watching the band LIVE! Wouldn’t you love to have the chance to see them on stage?! I know I would! Well, you may just have that opportunity. To make it possible all you have to do is “Like” them on Facebook (and tell your friends to do it too). If Daniel Lioneye gets 15 000 Likes by September, they will go on tour! As many of  you have noticed, this site has not been updated as frequently as I would like. The reason – LIFE!  I have more on my plate than I can chew and some of my hobbies have had to be put on standby. It saddens me to have to let go of this website after almost one year of existence, so I have instead decided  to reach out to the HIM community and ask for your help.

Who I’m looking for: 

• English speaking fans to help out with the updates on this website .
• Portuguese fans to administrate the new Portuguese version of the HIM Library which I am planning to create, including translation of the main site info and future updates. (Since the HIM Library is a Portuguese based fansite, it’s only fair that there is a version in our native language as well… não é verdade?)
• I will accept collaboration from other (non-english) HIM fansites if you are interested in a partnership. (read post for details)
