Examples of Crowdstack community?
Rosemary O'Neill Hi Claudio, thanks for reaching out! There isn't a list of sites, but here are some public examples: Kids with Food Allergies Extension Connect WIne Spectator We don't offer pre-translated versions of Crowdstack Pro, but you do have the ability to upload your own translation of the platform (we make the word file available to customers). If you're interested in talking with our team about your specific project, please feel free to email [email protected] and we'd be happy to answer any ... [ more ]

Making your Crowdstack site fill more of the browser window
DoJo Hi Rich and Neil, Is there any more documentation on this? I've been playing around with the CSS but my expertise in coding isn't good enough to get the desired effect. Getting closer to 100% of the screen width would be great. Anyway, don't hesitate to post back if you found some clever fixes 🙂 Regards, Dominic Jorge CTO Flower delivery Spain Madrid [ more ]
neil I have been able to figure out of couple of odd layout issues created by the site widening, but this one has me stumped (and may only be something Crowdstack can adjust). I haven't been able to figure out how to get IMAGES to automatically fill the width of a posting window when attaching them to a post. The images in question are wider than 600 pixels, but when I attach them and check "insert...large" they only display at 600px, which is less than the width of the posting window. Whereas,... Rich Melvin Thanks, Neil. Things are going well over at OGR. Traffic is stable and there's a lot of posting going on there. I'll play with this CSS and see what happens. [ more ]

Add additional members to private message thread
Maria Oah Yes @tabla8719 !! Exactly. [ more ]
tabla8719 Currently the volunteers will send private messages to folks to remind them/gather conversation ideas. In an ideal world, we could have one private message group thread for these updates (so not to spam the full community). We want to be able to continue to add people and let them drop out of the private chat if they want, similar to FB messenger group chats. Currently, we can't add more people after a group message has been started. [ more ]

Duplicate H1 Tags
Claudio I wouldn't worry too much about it. A duplicate h1 won't be a huge deal in terms of SEO, but of course it would be nice to have a fix, hope there is an answer regards, Claudio Lescure Florist Italy [ more ]

Please Add Ability to Clone Database Structures
Julia M Usher I am just talking about cloning the database setup/structure (not the data in it), so it is ready to receive new data. I use the same structure over and over for different online events that I run. [ more ]
Rosemary O'Neill There may be a misunderstanding here...in Crowdstack databases there is no scripting. The interface for creating and managing databases is simply a series of checkboxes and menus, meant to be used by non-coders. I'm not sure what you're referring to as 'scripting'. [ more ]

My website is down
Brian Lenz Hi Sandy, You can email [email protected] for support inquiries. We are currently experiencing performance issues with the Crowdstack Pro shared hosting environment. It's related to a partial hardware failure, and we are actively pursuing possible resolutions. I don't have an ETA as to when it might be resolved, but know that we will be working on it until everything is back to normal. Thanks for your patience and understanding, Brian [ more ]

Lori Hi, there! Yes, you (and your members) can get notifications for subgroups in the same way you do the main site: in your own account, go to Settings>>Notifications, and you'll see a tab for "SubGroup Follows". You can choose which subgroup, and set up your notifications as you wish. Hope that helps! Lori [ more ]

Rosemary O'Neill Hi Amy I'm going to answer in the support email we have going, but just in case anyone else had a similar question....go to your Settings, under Basics, and choose "Private" rather than "Public." That will put the entire community behind a login, so that "guests" or "visitors" can't see anything without registering. If you want to prevent new registrations, or limit to invitation-only, you can also go in Settings, to Registration Settings, and tick the box to restrict those options as well. [ more ]

Lori Hi, Caitlin: Do both of users involved share a computer? If so, what may be happening is that the forwarder is logged in on your community site on the computer in question, and when the forwardee sits down and clicks the email, it'll open in the forwarder's account automatically. If this is not what happened (e.g. there is no sharing of machines), please email us at [email protected] or [email protected] so that we can discuss the specific details in a private support ticket.
