Sensei Toru Shimoji, 5th Dan
Chief Karate Instructor & Owner/Operator
Originally born in Okinawa, Sensei Shimoji grew up in Hawaii where he started his Karate training. He moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1982 and trained directly under Hidetaka Nishiyama. He worked his way to become a member of Nishiyama’s teaching staff, managing and teaching the adult beginner-intermediate program and children’s classes. As a member of U. S. Gracie Jiu-Jitsu at Jinsendo
Jiu-Jitsu training for adults and youth under the guidance of Sensei Randy McElwee is our newest program at Jinsendo. Sensei Randy McElwee, a black belt under Professor Pedro Sauer, owns and operates Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Athens (GA). We are thrilled for him to bring his many years of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu experience and knowledge to Smyrna, right here at Jinsendo.
We are conveniently located in Smyrna, GA near the Vinings, Marietta, Mableton, and Kennesaw areas.
