My second Harry Potter tattoo. It’s a 100% custom piece done by Jonah @ Wintership Tattoo.
In a nutshell, it’s a Dementor holding a little ‘Morsmordre’ pennant with the Dark Mark spilling out of a floating lantern above its head.

Took three sessions to finish; Dementor and Lantern/Skull were custom stencils Jonah drew up the day of the appointment, and the snake and all of the 'glow’ were freehanded in at the last session.

All told, it took 12 hours total to finish it, including the time it took him to sketch things up.

These were taken immediately after it was finished, so it’s a bit bloody in the skull.

There are, however, less bloody, albeit not whole-thing-at-once (because it’s huge and it’s kind of trickier than you’d think to photograph a tattoo that goes from your ankle to past mid-way up your thigh!) shots here and here.

That last link has all six of my tattoos, including the other Harry Potter one.

I’ve been huge fan of Regulus Black as long as I can remember. I wanted to have a tribute tattoo for this fallen and really undervalued hero and eventually I came up with this. This is my first tattoo.

The tattoo was made by Mika Sjöblom, Individual Ink, Finland.

Got the Deathly Hallows sign tattooed this summer - in London! It was all rather spontaneous but amazing and I actually got the Tattoo close to King’s Cross - just where platform 9 ¾ is located ;)

It’s a friendship tattoo me (girl from Germany) and my best friend from America got and I love it so much - and to top everything we got it on the 21st of July this summer which is exactly the date on which the final Harry Potter (The Deathly Hallows) book has been released seven years ago!

This was my first tattoo and it took me six months after turning 18 to finally decide on this design. One aspect that is important to me is that the picture is from the first book and the quote is from the last so it really wraps everything up, especially how much that quote means to us fans. Harry and Hermione and Ron and everything Harry Potter honestly saved my life, and this is my mark of that. 

I got this tattoo at Inkslingers in Billerica, Massachusetts.

My url is vxnillacave … So i got this tattoo for my 20th birthday in Hollywood! Ive gone through depression for years, but i somehow always find a light to keep me going. This charm means so much to me. It means how keeping positive will keep the dementors away. And then i just wanted HP-related symbols under it :)

The very last line of Harry Potter, which has always been extremely important to me. Also, I’ve been going through a lot of bad stuff lately, so now I can look down at the end of the day and see “all was well”. It just reminds me that everything will be good in the end.

I’m a PhD student, and university has been a major part of my life for 6 years now. I did my B.A. and M.A. at the same place where I am now, and I often felt that this is the place where I felt home the most, exactly the way Harry described Hogwarts, and probably Hermione - my favorite character in the books, felt so too.

The tattoo is dedicated to the books series. They have been a major part of my life for many years, and I specifically wanted something that has to do with them and not with the movies (although I like them as well). The Hogwarts crest appears at the beginning of every Harry Potter book, and it was an easy choice, relating to my university life.

The tattoo was done by the awesome Viktor Gor from Artist Tattoo (Israel).
