[[innerindex]] As I’ve mentioned in the past, I’m a fan of Marvel’s Civil War comics. Like many, I’ve been buying up the comics and reading them as they come out, which gives an approximate reading order. When looking back at the Civil War comics released thus far, its difficult to remember the order that Marvel has intended. Checklists exist out there but are difficult for me to find (and I’ve had a number of searches come to BorkWeb looking for a reading order).

This list is quite a bit off. For instance, the whole Civil War: Young Avengers & Runaways happens after Civil War #4. Also New Avengers so far all comes before Civil War #2…. There are more screwy orderings. What you have looks a lot like release order, which is not the right reading order….
Ya. I realized that a couple of days ago after I posted this. It is also missing the updates. I’m going to sit down tomorrow night and really re-order ’em.
I worked on a reordering for a couple hours last night. It’s pretty complicated, and there is overlap like you wouldn’t believe… We should work together and build a graphical timeline of this whole event.
I do not think YA/Runaways happens after Civil War #4, because Stature states that Wiccan was captured, and if Wiccan is captured then he wouldn’t be in the YA/Runaways mini. The only way we can determine if it comes at a later point would be seeing Wiccan return and the Runaways involved a little more (if they do at all): something we won’t know until later comics come out.
As for New Avengers, only the Captain America one comes before Civil War #2, as he doesn’t have his Secret Avengers yet. Luke Cage’s issue happens during the events of Civil War #2, so that shouldn’t be read beforehand. Jessica Drew’s issue has her seeking out Cap at the end, with Cloak, Dagger, and someone who appears to be Stature in the background, so that’s clearly not before Civil War #2. So far, the list from 606Studios seems close.
Thanks. This list is what I was looking for. I jumped in last month so I needed to know which issues have already been published.

wat about books such as civil war: iron man, civil war: wolverine etc. where do they fit in the storyline?
Is there a TPB version of the reading order list, or is it too difficult because the issues are collected by title, rather than by order?
Excellent thanks!

Hi there,
I’ve just checked out your Civil War checklist and reading order. Do you have a TPB reading order list (and checklist) as well?
I don’t want to start hunting down every single comic until I’ve gotten the Civil War story complete.
Please let me know. Thanks
Neal

Oh and Perez, maybe you should find better things to do than to come here and tell us to get a life.
