Over the past few years, Black Prince Holidays has invested more than any other canal boat or narrowboat hire company in building a fleet of bespoke, modern canal boats, making our holiday hire fleet the youngest in the country in canal history.
We recently introduced our new Signature class. Hand built with a contemporary bespoke design, this new class firmly puts our stamp on the future of modern narrowboat holidays. As well as the fresh decor, we’ve enhanced the practicalities with more worktop space and a microwave in the kitchen, added more comfort with black-out blinds and bespoke mattresses plus included all the modern necessities such as multiple USB sockets, wireless charging pads and a flat-screen TV.
Classic Range
Our hand-built and bespoke Classic boats have been carefully designed for an excellent cruising experience. Fully equipped with everything you need, you can choose from 2 to 10-berth options, each furnished with similar quality fixtures including fully equipped kitchenette with cooker, stove and fridge, separate bedrooms, and WCs and showers.
Signature Class
Our new Signature range are more modern boats with a stylish design and enhanced features such as more worktop space and a microwave in the kitchen, added comfort with black-out blinds in the bedrooms, plus modern necessities such as multiple USB sockets, wireless charging pads and a flat-screen TV.
Narrowboat Specifications
All our UK canals narrowboats have water-cooled engines, full central heating, airing cupboards, showers, superior macerator toilets, cookers, fridges (with small freezer unit), colour tv, radios, CD and DVD players, smoke and CO alarms so you can enjoy every possible amenity on your holiday routes.
All the boats in the Classic range are made to the same specifications but the different names indicate different layouts and the number of berths that each boat has.
For example, the Princess 2 is a one-bedroom boat available for self-drive trips. It differs from the Duchess 2 in that the layout is different – the Princess 2 has a bedroom at the front of the boat, and the Duchess 2 has a bedroom at the rear of the boat. However, most of the internal specifications are the same.
Some one-bedroom boats have the option for the seating area in the lounge to be made up into a second bed. Please check the individual descriptions for further details when you hire canal boats from our collection.
