Sanitary capsule filters connect to inlet and outlet processes by numerous methods: hose barb, quick couplings, tri-clamps are examples. Capsule filter assembly to tube sets, bio-containers, bioreactors and equipment takes care, time and good aseptic technique. Technicians use multiple parts and accessories like clamps, gaskets, O rings, ties, adapters or connectors to make sure the filter capsule connections are leak-free, secure and put together in the correct direction of flow.

ZenPure has developed a click and lock capsule filter that connects to a disposable system, machine, instrument, tube set, bio-container – even a bioreactor, with one simple action: push and fit.
Including sanitary vent, inlet and outlet, the ports run in parallel at the top of the filter capsule. Three male quick couplers mate with three female receptors bracketed to the vent, process inlet and filter outlet parts of the assembly.
The SKS filter modifies the flow geometry from traditional ‘T' and ‘Inline' to ‘U'. This makes capsule assembly and disassembly smooth and easy in one plug-and-play movement.
The capsule can be equipped with an optional upstream-side down tube for dispersing fluids evenly across the filter surface. This prevents preferential flow through an area nearest to the inlet. It also gives fast thermal dispersion for hot water sanitization. Filters can be equipped with a RFID for recording installation, usage cycles, integrity test or traceability for production batch records.
