This is a little pin I created after watching President Dieter F. Uchtdorf's talk at Relief Society General Meeting on Sept. 24, 2011

Abbreviations: sl st=slip stitch, sc = single crochet, dc= double crochet, tr = triple crochet.

Let's get started!
You will need:
Size E crochet hook and a few yards each of baby yarn in yellow, white, and light blue, yarn needle, and a pin for the back, or a magnet.

YELLOW center:
Chain 5 - join with a slip stitch to form a ring.  Cut yarn leaving 2" tail.

WHITE:
Join white yarn with a slip stitch, in middle of the ring.  *Ch 3, sc in ring, repeat from * 4 more times (5 loops) End with a slip stitch in back of the base of the first white chain 3. Cut yarn leaving 2" tail.

BLUE petals:
Join blue yarn with slip stitch inside one of the white loops. *Make 1 sc, 1 dc, 1 tr, 1 dc, 1 sc in same white loop, sc in same loop.  Repeat from * around in each white loop.  You will have 5 blue petals.  Join with sl st in back of the base of first sc.  End off by cutting yarn leaving 2" tail.


FINISHING:
Weave all the yarn tails behind flower.

Using hot glue, glue pin or magnet to back of the flower.
