The sun and a dragon fly…
A faint, feathery solar prominence was the best the sun had to offer last week.
Look who else needs a trim!
A rose colored sun captured on March 8, 2020 and processed today (Easter Sunday). The little disruption at lower left is active region AR 2758, identified by its reversed polarity to be a member of new Solar Cycle 25. Its appearance reminds us that activity, while still deep in the bottom of the curve, will return on the sun and on the earth too. A rosy and hopeful Holiday to all.
A spotless sun in the violet hues of the CaK wavelength… captured October 19, 2019 and processed yesterday.
A waxing moon I captured in June.
Three views of the magnificent solar active region 2192, which adorned the earthing facing side of the sun 5 years ago this week. Top-white light, middle-hydrogen alpha light, bottom-Calcium-K line light.
I think I’ve found Nemo…
