Location of Aurum, The River Place

Aurum The River Place is situated on the Bangkok bank of the Chao Phraya River, the main artery of Thailand, within walking distance from the Grand Palace, the Emerald Buddha Temple, and the Temple of the Reclining Buddha (Wat Po), to mention but a few.

It is part of the old Rattanakosin Island which came into existence at the beginning of the reign of King Rama I of the Rattanakosin (Bangkok) period over 225 years ago. Hence you will find in this area many historical sites - palaces, temples, shrines, markets, old communities and houses, with some areas still retaining almost unchanged traditional ways of living.

From the hotel, guests can enjoy the view of the Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun), one of Bangkok's best-known landmarks, located on the opposite bank of the river. Watching the river life passing by-passenger, long-tail boats, rice barges laden with goods, luxury tourist boats, and many more, you will easily feel the peaceful pace of the Thai river life style. When evening comes with a clear sky, you will be stunned at the sight of sunset against the backdrop of the glittering temples on the opposite side of the river.
