saturday night live spoofs japanese pop culture fans


I don't know about you, but I thought this recent Saturday Night Live sketch, "J-Pop America Fun Time Now," was pretty funny -- and dead-on. It spoofs some of the over-excited, obsessive (and often misguided) American fans that populate otaku culture. Don't lie. You know people like this.


"Sensei Mark, you must know I am not racist. My girlfriend is Japanese!" Yeah, you know it. They went there. From what I understand, some anime and J-pop fans were apparently offended by this sketch. I can't imagine why...
