A: Yes, of course! That is alright with us. You can even offer your cards at eBay (in an eBay store or auction), while they are still listed at Alta Carta. Just inform us, as soon as the cards are not available any longer!

Q: How do you handle personal data?

A: We never ask any personal data such as name, age, location, etc. at all. Therefore we do not have such information. You will be registered at "Alta Carta" with your user-ID. Some people use the same user-ID they already have at eBay and others believe their anonymity is not ensured enough that way and choose a complete fantasy name. We just need a valid email address from you so we can contact you or tell somebody interested in your cards how he can contact you. We never give your email address to anybody else. If that is not enough, you don't have to give us your primary email address. Just register a new email at a free provider and use that one for your playing card contacts through "Alta Carta". As you can see you can stay completely anonymous to "Alta Carta" and we do respect that.

Q: I own a deck of cards somebody has listed in his wanted list. How do I contact that person?

A: Send us an email and ask for the email address of the person who has the according list (Wxxxx) published. We will then provide you with the user-ID and the email of that collector and you can contact him directly.

Q: Where is the hitch? Somehow I cannot believe that I will not pay for your service in the end.

A: Believe us, there is no hitch at all. The initiators of "Alta Carta" are collectors like you and not business men. They opened this site because the playing card societies, the professional playing card dealers and eBay do not fulfil their needs as collectors. Presently this project only costs and there is no incoming money. We do hope that in some future time "Alta Carta" will have such a good reputation that we can finance the costs from some ads and links to other sites.
