MAXIM GORKI THEATER

I made the cover for the magazine ›Gorki Planet‹ published by the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin.
The magazine is a collaboration between comic artists and dramatists on the occasion of the festival ›Reality Kills – Kriegsbilder im Comic und auf der Bühne‹, hosted by Maxim Gorki Theater during March 2011.
This issue of the magazine features great colorful comics by all members of The Treasure Fleet collective I am part of.
THE STRANGER screenprint

Messing around with brush and ink and avoiding retouching in photoshop. This artwork features the characters of my comic "The Stranger" I did for the last Orang comic anthology. It will be available as screenprint at the "ORANG#9" comic releases parties coming up. The one in Berlin will be on March 26th from 21:00 at Sameheads, Richardstr. 10, 12043 Berlin more infos here.

This is one of my favorite spots in Berlin. This illustration is featured on the Berlin issue of Inbox (12) (December 2010), a fanzine including 12 postcards drawn and written by 12 illustrators about their favourite city spots.

This is my contribution to the amazing project elmonstruodecoloresnotieneboca. Roger Omar collects dreams written by kids in different countries, to be illustrated by artists. Kids from Mexico, Spain, Brazil, France, Cuba and Germany have participated since 2002. It was fun to illustrate Myriam´s dream from Spain: "I dreamed that a bird screamed at my ear".

I did this drawing for the "Chance Ten" competition organized by CWC Tokyo and I am happy to hear that I am one of the 10 winners. My artwork will be exhibit at the Gallery Next Door from October 10, 2009 to November 6, 2009 in Tokyo.

"Psoriasis", "Tuberculosis" and "Obesity" are part of my graduation project at the Berlin University of the Arts (2008). "Psoriasis" also won the "Best of show prize" (student category) at the 3x3 Magazine competition, New York (2008) and a bronze medal at the 9th International Poster Triennial in Toyama, Japan (2009).
FREUNDE
Small pencil portraits I did in 2007 while studying illustration at the Berlin University of the Arts.
PARIS PRINTS
Some of the prints I did in Paris at the École Nationale des arts décoratifs (ENSAD) where I studied as exchange student in 2006. I really enjoyed to work at the etching and the screen print studios there.
