Introducing Yeti

Since launching At The Pool, we’ve learned a lot about connecting people. With over 3 million introductions in more than 120 countries, we’ve facilitated social relationships, connected travelers, and learned about our users’ needs. What we’ve learned is both surprising and exciting — “social discovery” really doesn’t work, but people love starting and joining interesting local conversations. En masse our members have been asking questions, leaving recommendations, and connecting with locals to get the most out of their surroundings. We took in everything we learned and are excited to announce something big…

Introducing Yeti — connecting travelers to local discussions.

Yeti is an app that helps people engage and create discussions. Ask about the best new coffee shop in town, or discuss the best sights to see. Yeti is mirrored after real life, where conversations can start about the traffic, lead into weather, change to last night’s game, and end on a great new restaurant. As in real life, we choose to spark up new discussions and ditch the boring ones. This is what you’ll find with Yeti.

Swiping right joins a discussion, swiping left passes. Yeti presents you with popular topics in your area and as you start swiping it customizes your recommendations. So if you like museums, a discussion over the new Rembrandt exhibit may pop up and if you like mountain biking, Yeti will present you with chats about the local trails. Even more, Yeti remembers your favorite spots and reminds you when you’re nearby. We’re excited to announce the official launch of Yeti today!

Be one of the first to see what all the talk is about — Discover the unknown at http://yeti.ai or download in the App Store.

Much love,

Team Yeti
